We're in search of a Sous Chef to join our culinary management team. The ideal candidate will be prepared to take the lead, get hands-on, and motivate the team to excel in our bustling restaurant, poolside venue, speakeasy bar, café, and event spaces. Administrative experience is advantageous.

Our ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for culinary excellence and an acute attention to detail. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support kitchen staff in all food production aspects
  • Ensure consistent quality standards through food product evaluations
  • Establish and adhere to regular maintenance schedules for kitchen areas and equipment
  • Provide training and professional growth opportunities for kitchen staff

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of culinary or kitchen experience
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work standing for a minimum period of 10 hours per day.
  • Periodical bending, kneeling and stretching is required.
  • Pull, push, move, carry and lift at least 40 pounds of force is required.
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Will be exposed to hot and cold temperature extremes.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry and lift at least 50 pounds of force.
  • Occasionally kneeling, sitting, crouching and climbing.
  • Must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with guests and co-workers
