Job Details

Position Overview: As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high food quality and safety standards. You will play a key role in managing staff, driving sales, and maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in Managing Daily Operations:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth functioning.
    • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve sales targets, control costs, and maintain high standards of quality and service.
    • Supervise the front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  2. Staff Management:

    • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising staff members.
    • Schedule and assign tasks to the restaurant staff effectively.
    • Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
    • Address any employee issues or conflicts in a professional manner.
  3. Customer Service:

    • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
    • Interact with customers to obtain feedback and address concerns promptly.
    • Handle any customer complaints efficiently and professionally.
  4. Food Safety and Quality:

    • Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
    • Ensure that all food safety procedures and regulations are followed by the staff.
    • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  5. Financial Management:

    • Assist in managing restaurant expenses and budgets to maximize profitability.
    • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
    • Prepare reports on sales, employee performance, and inventory.
  6. Training and Development:

    • Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the staff to enhance their skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Degree in Hospitality or relevant field is a plus.
