We are a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Williamsburg looking for a General Manager to lead our team. We are a family run restaurant with two chefs from disctinct backgrounds. We have a strong passion for food, hospitality, and creativity.
The ideal candidate is someone ready to take the next step into managment, or has some managment experience and is looking to take on more responsibilites. You will have the opportunity to enrich the identity of our small restaurant. In addition to being charismatic and hospitable, candidates should be organized, proactive, and have great attention to detail.
Prerequisites:
-Passion for hospitality and guest relations
-Creative thinker with a can do attitude
-Excellent communication skills
-Two years of NYC restaurant experience required.
-Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
-Working knowledge of Resy, Square and Excel.
-NYC Food Handlers Certificate.
-Desire to learn and work to enrich the knowledge of others.
-Strong wine, spirits, and food knowledge. Knowledge of Jewish and Japanese cuisines is an advantage.
-Must love food.
Responsibilities include:
-Managing service and creating memorable guest experiences.
-Educating and mentoring FOH staff.
-Scheduling and hiring.
-Actively managing reservations.
-Craftng and curating our extensive beverage program.
-Ordering
-Ensuring that all clerical duties are performed in an effective and efficient manner.
