Job Description: Experienced Line Cook for Liberty Kitchen Locations in Fishtown and University City (37th & Market).
Liberty Kitchen is a deli and market with locations in Fishtown and University City. We are seeking experienced Line Cooks to work in our restaurants (both locations). This is a high volume position and experience on either the grill station, fry station, saute station or all of the above is preferred.
Experience/Prerequisites:
- Candidate must have prior experience in a commercial kitchen setting with knife skills and knowledge of basic food safety standards. Experience in a high-volume kitchen or line cook setting is required
- Ability to follow directions and execute recipes to specifications provided by Executive Chef
- Must be a team player, ability to lift 30+ pounds. This position requires you to be on your feet all day
- Work with Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager and Prep team to execute menu items, complete side work/prep work which will include making of sauces, dressings and preparing meats & vegetables for service
Job Description:
- Responsible for executing and preparing menu items to spec. This includes operating the fryer, saute/griddle station and making sandwiches/salads/soups.
- Attention to detail is required in order to make items to Executive Chef specifications and maintain the highest quality in our product
Compensation/Hours/Benefits:
This is a full-time or part time position depending upon the candidate’s schedule. Starting wage is $15 per hour plus tips guaranteed at $20 per hour total. After 6 months of employment, employee is eligible for PTO of 5 days. After 1 year of employment employee is eligible for 10 days PTO. We offer staff meal for every shift. Typical hours are 8AM/9AM-5PM/6PM daily.
