Job Details

The Daytime Service Manager position at Petite Cerise is a unique opportunity for a hospitality professional to be a part of an outstanding team without working evenings or late nights. In collaboration with the management team primary responsibilities for this position include maintaining the highest levels of service, hospitality and teamwork at Petite Cerise, and overseeing day-to-day service.

 

 Petite Cerise is a new restaurant opened by the team of The Dabney, which has been recognized by Michelin Guide and the James Beard Foundation.We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that brings an exceptional understanding of food & beverage with a very detailed approach to service, and the ability to impart that knowledge to staff.

 

Requirements:

  • Two years management experience.
  • Excellent service, dining room, and facilities operations knowledge.
  • The ability to adapt and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion and knowledge for food and beverage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead and train the front of house team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with management, the kitchen team, and front of house team.
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for hospitality.
  • Candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and be able to work precisely.
  • Have a flexible schedule with the expectation to work 5 days inclusive of weekends.
  • Professional appearance and appropriate standards. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • With the management team help design and implement a professional front of house training program.
  • Foster a service environment that ensures a positive guest experience, while meeting and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Assist FOH employees during service.
  • Work with the management team to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Help create regular guests. 
  • Oversee FOH staff before, during, and after service.
  • Maintain a positive, committed, and educational environment for all staff members.

 

Our service style is refined but warm. We're looking for a Service Manager who embodies our vision of a dining experience that's unpretentious, hospitable and fun.

Part neighborhood café, part energetic bistro, Petite Cerise is located in a bright and lively historic corner space in Shaw/Mount Vernon Triangle.
