Job Details
The Prospect: Opening in the spring of 2024, The Prospect will redefine hospitality in Mount Prospect. Personal service and the ultimate dining experience will be hallmarks of the two-story restaurant. Guests will be immersed in culinary techniques as the team prepares dishes influenced by both Italian and Argentinian culture. The Prospect’s approach to open and honest hospitality will extend beyond a congenial smile and handshake, making its way into fresh and seasonal ingredients that will fuel the body and warm the soul. Description:
Possess a thorough understanding and knowledge of the full food and drink menu, including ingredients and preparation methods

  •  Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the Chef
  •  Measure and assemble ingredients according to recipes • Assist in the preparation of sauces, dressings, and other components
  • Approach food orders by making recommendations based on guest preferences and any dietary restrictions
  •  Collaborate and communicate effectively with all team members to efficiently coordinate order preparation and timely delivery
  • Monitor guest needs throughout the dining experience and respond in a prompt manner
  •  Create conditions for a memorable dining experience by engaging with guests
  •  Maintain and ensure various areas of the restaurant are clean, sanitized, and organized
  •  Assist in clearing and resetting the chef’s counter
  •  Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work area
  • This is a tipped positon that utilizes service and cooking skills.

The Prospect opening in June of 2024 aims to change the lanscape of restaurants in the suburbs.

The menu will feature an array of cuisines from seafood to pasta and will incorporate charcoal and wood-fired elements – marrying both casual and fine dining.

Seating for the restaurant will span across two floors, accommodating 90 to 100 people on the first floor and 50 to 75 people upstairs on the second floor. A full bar will also be located on each level, with the upstairs offering a truly unique al fresco dining experience and serving as the restaurant’s private event space.
Chef Mauro Berruti (Gibson's Italia, Bazaar Meat Chicago, Chicago Cut Steakhouse) and general manager Garrett Supples (Chicago Diner, Frontier, Ina Mae Tavern, Packaged Goods) are behind the new venture. The two veterans of Chicago's fine dining restaurant scene bring more than 30 years of experience to The Prospect.
