Job Details
The Prospect: Opening in the spring of 2024, The Prospect will redefine hospitality in Mount Prospect. Personal service and the ultimate dining experience will be hallmarks of the two-story restaurant. Guests will be immersed in culinary techniques as the team prepares dishes influenced by both Italian and Argentinian culture. The Prospect’s approach to open and honest hospitality will extend beyond a congenial smile and handshake, making its way into fresh and seasonal ingredients that will fuel the body and warm the soul. Job Description: Hosts at The Prospect serve as the first point of contact for guests and create a positive first impression. Hosts will: 
  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Manage reservations and effectively organize seating charts
  •  Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  •  Monitor and manage waitlists during peak hours and communicate any waitlist issues with a manager
  •  Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service
  •  Engage with guests to enhance a personal dining experience
  • Accept and manage guest inquiries and special requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and various areas of the restaurant
  •  Assist in clearing and resetting tables

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00)

The Prospect opening in June of 2024 aims to change the lanscape of restaurants in the suburbs.

The menu will feature an array of cuisines from seafood to pasta and will incorporate charcoal and wood-fired elements – marrying both casual and fine dining.

Seating for the restaurant will span across two floors, accommodating 90 to 100 people on the first floor and 50 to 75 people upstairs on the second floor. A full bar will also be located on each level, with the upstairs offering a truly unique al fresco dining experience and serving as the restaurant’s private event space.
Chef Mauro Berruti (Gibson's Italia, Bazaar Meat Chicago, Chicago Cut Steakhouse) and general manager Garrett Supples (Chicago Diner, Frontier, Ina Mae Tavern, Packaged Goods) are behind the new venture. The two veterans of Chicago's fine dining restaurant scene bring more than 30 years of experience to The Prospect.
