Line Cook

Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for Line Cooks for our top of the line food trailer at our 15 acre Beer Park in Newton Square! The Beer Park will be open from May to the end of October. This is a position will work Thursday-Sunday with hours from 3p-9p on Thursday & Friday, 11a-9p on Saturday and 10a-6p on Sunday. There will also be an opportunity for more hours when events are taking place on off days when the Beer Park is not open to the general public. Our operation will have a specific food ordering system and this position will be paid a competitive hourly wage and also receive ALL TIPS related to food purchases on site. We envision this position making far more per hourly in compensation than typical hourly line cook positions offer. The food trailer is also air-conditioned. 

The line cook is responsible for the entirety of the cooking process from prep to presentation in accordance with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, as well as any other duties assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other food items for cooking ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
• Must be able to communicate clearly with other members of the team, including but not limited to kitchen and dining staff
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
• Understands Tired Hands standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station areas
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pound
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
