THE RESTAURANT

Xiquet (chee-KETT) by international award-winning Chef Danny Lledó joined the select ranks of MICHELIN Star restaurants in DC in 2021, just one year after first welcoming guests to the intimate dining room in Glover Park. Xiquet is now known as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Washington DC for its modern Spanish cuisine that showcases the finest products from around the world, served with warm, Mediterranean hospitality. The sought-after tasting menu experience showcases innovative preparations of the traditional cuisine of Valencia, ignited by a wood-fire kitchen.

A meal at Xiquet consists of a multi-course culinary experience that begins with tantalizing canapés and aperitivos at the Chef’s Counter on the first level. From there, you are guided upstairs to our airy top-floor dining room, delighting in the excitement and aromas as you pass by Chef Danny’s entirely wood-fire kitchen enclosed in glass. The experience concludes in our elegant mezzanine lounge with after-dinner drinks and special treats.

THE ROLE

You will be working in collaboration with the General Manager to ensure the daily operation is being run at the highest level of hospitality, detail and excellence. You will need to learn and understand each team member's strength's and weakness' and use that knowledge to train and grow each of them. You will need to be proactive and forward thinking with the highest level of organization skills. A passion for not only food but beverage in all forms (liquor's, cocktails, wines, non-alcoholic beverages) to ensure our offerings are continuously up to date and on brand.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to oversee dinner service and ensuring standards of service are adhered to
  • Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
  • Fine Dining experience a plus
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work on your own initiative, calmly and when under pressure
  • Excellent guest service skills with a background of exceeding and maintaining the guests' expectations
