Kismet Rotisserie is looking for a kitchen manager for our Hollywood location.

Kismet is a women-owned and operated restaurant group in Los Angeles, with three locations of our rotisserie chicken concept. The Kismet Rotisserie menu focuses on rotisserie chicken and vegetables, as well as sandwiches and salads, all sourced with care and prepared creatively. We are a high volume restaurant and do a significant amount of take out and catering. While we are a fast casual restaurant, we take our approach to quality and integrity very seriously.

Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and service. This position expedites five nights of busy PM service and experience with high volume restaurants is a must. Applicants must be quick on their feet and a fast learner, without cutting corners. You must be professional, as well as courteous toward fellow employees and customers. A positive work attitude is crucial. Must be a team player.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Expedite/call tickets to the line cooks, keeping everyone on track and coordinated throughout service. * must be an experienced expeditor!
  • Oversee all stations, Line, Prep and FOH
  • Help train new line cooks and prep cooks, teaching proper food and service protocols, including, but not limited to prep lists, checklists, setting up and breaking down, station maintenance, best practices, etc.
  • Actively help all line cooks to improve their skills and mastery of their stations.
  • Be the communication point person during service for the FOH.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to food, service and interpersonal issues in the moment, understanding when something requires a manager’s oversight.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a variety of busy kitchens- and at least 1 year of management.
  • Must have a valid food handler's certificate or be willing to obtain one
  • Be a confident line cook and have the ability to quickly pick up each kitchen station.
  • A positive attitude!
