As a Reservationist, you are responsible for cooperating with the Maitre’d and the Management team to assist in the duties of the reservation department, maximising bookings by delivering a delightful yet efficient service. The Reservationist must be meticulous at ensuring that every detail of a guest’s reservation has been accurately recorded following established procedures.
The Reservationist must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment to achieve the restaurant’s common goal of guest satisfaction. The Reservationist must be personable with guests working with a warm, knowledgeable & noticeably appreciative demeanor. The role of the Reservationist is integral to the success of the restaurant.

As a Reservationist, you must demonstrate these skills completely in order to fulfill your job duty to the standards of the restaurants:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be able to deal efficiently and politely with all telephone, email, internet and “in person” enquiries
- Be able to ensure that all reservations are recorded clearly, accurately and promptly onto the system
- Know and be able to maximize reservations and guest count
- Know and be able to create daily floor plans sheets detailing reservations and VIP guests
- Help the host staff to manage the flow of the reservations into the dining room and bar areas
- Provide accurate wait times to guests when necessary
- Have knowledge of ‘who’s who’ at the restaurants
- Know historical information about the restaurants
- Protect Establishment and Patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
- Be knowledgeable of the food and drinks menu to ensure you will be able to respond to customer enquiries.
- Be able to take general administration duties
- Attend training session and team meetings as required
JOB DUTIES
- Clock in for your shift (after you have changed into your uniform when necessary)
- Be on duty and in uniform at scheduled time
- Oversee the reservation system
- Complete side work
- Attend pre-shift meeting, as your scheduled shift requires
- Assist in dining room activities as required
- Complete any necessary closing paper work
Skills & Requirements:
- Being Personable, positive, and gracious
- At least 2 years in a Reservations or Guest Relations position in a upscale dining setting
- Knowledge of Sevenrooms and Resy
- Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction
- Lift up to 25 pounds of weight
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk and carry multiple objects
