Il Totano, a new restaurant opening in the West Village is looking for support staff. We are looking for fun, kind, and respectful individuals who love working in hospitality. Be a team player! Opening experience is a plus, but not required. We are looking for candidates with a genuine appreciation for the hospitality business, and a professional work ethic.
Food Runner Responsibilities
- Know the full food menu and be able to pass a food test in English
- Assist with setting up your station at the kitchen pass
- Run food from the kitchen to the tables and be confident about table and seat numbers
- Be able to present the dishes and their major components, as well as answer any questions guests might ask you
- Be aware of food allergies and handle them with the utmost attention
Server Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the entirety of the visit
- Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments
- Keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists
- Assist with setting up the seating area, including napkin and silverware stationsPrevious bussing/running experience in a high volume environment
