BeefBar, an upscale restaurant in Tribeca, is seeking an experienced Barista to join our talented front-of-house team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee, tea, and cocktail offerings while providing exceptional hospitality to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive each shift with a positive attitude, prepared to work and learn.
- Act as the go-to barista for all coffee and specialty drink orders.
- Prepare and serve all coffee, tea, and cocktail offerings to our high standards.
- Restock and maintain barista station, including milks, dry goods, and equipment.
- Provide table service and assist with other front-of-house duties as needed.
- Adhere to all alcohol service policies, including checking IDs.
- Communicate guest feedback and issues to management promptly.
- Build relationships with regular guests and industry community members.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or cafe environment
- Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and cocktail preparation
- Excellent customer service, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
This is a full-time or part-time non-exempt position with the potential for 20-40 hours per week.
The pay rate for this role is $16.00/hour ($10.65 cash wage, $5.35 tip credit) plus tips.
