Job Details

The Director of Event Sales will be responsible for developing new business and initiating strong and effective sales strategies for event, wedding and corporate bookings. Individual must be energetic, organized, and offer five years of experience in prospecting, negotiating, and planning events to maximize revenue potential, exceed client expectations, build brand loyalty. This position demands a dynamic, well-rounded, team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to meet/exceed aggressive sales goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops strategies to meet annual sales goals.
  • Tracks daily sales and advance deposits.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales for General Manager.
  • Ambassador of In Good Company at trade shows and conventions to promote company and build sales.
  • Supervise all events to include scheduling date and time for events, menus, pricing, staffing, signing and the deposit.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of all meetings, events and catering events.
  • Responsible for bookings, confirmations, generating proposals and contracts.
  • Maintains and communicates event information calendar.
  • Interfaces with other departments to ensure proper setup for successful coordination of events.
  • Communicates with customers before, during and after event.
  • Holds a database of contacts for repeat and future bookings.
  • Solicits new and existing clients in order to meet budgetary sales expectations.
  • Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills and acts as a positive role model.
  • Assists in drafting the sales budgets annually.
  • Arranges special public relations events on and off premises.
  • Other duties as assigned. May also serve as Manager on Duty.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of five years of experience in event planning in a

hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a staff.

Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required. Ability to work nights,

weekends, and Holidays.

Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $75,000.00)
