Job Details

Carnitas Uruapan is looking for a passionate general manager ($80K base with $15-$20K in bonus) with a strong sense of ownership and leadership to lead its 3rd location located in the heart of Chicago - Little Village!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and direct all facets of a restaurant’s business, ensuring effective and efficient operations including but not limited to driving sales; managing costs; growing the business; leading and developing the front of house (FOH), back of house (BOH) teams and reporting directly to ownership.

  • Organize, run and supervise smooth and efficient daily shifts, ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience.

  • Respond with urgency to customer service issues, and employee feedback.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to employees and team leaders, while fostering our culture of teamwork and excellent customer service.

  • Partner with ownership to interview, hire, onboard, train, schedule, supervise and develop all FOH and BOH hourly employees. 

  • Prepare timesheets, and approve weekly payroll.

  • Manage Catering and Event Sales and execution.

  • Supervise and work staffed catering events as needed (will be paid Bonus Pay+ Tips).

  • Conduct Yearly Performance Reviews of the management team for FOH and BOH.

  • Work full Saturday and Sunday shifts, and move between locations (as a backup) as needed. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and guest preferences.
  • 6 days per week, 48-55 hours per week.

          Compensation Details

          Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $100,000.00)
