Assistant General Manager

Major Food Group seeks an experienced and qualified Assistant General Managers to join our team at Carbone!

Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century New York. The food nods to that history, but takes its culinary cues from the great talents and techniques of the present and future. Familiar dishes like SEafood Salad, Linguini Vongole, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Chicken Scarpariello and Veal Parmesan elevated to a new level.

MFG is hiring an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Constant Improvement of FOH operations
• Training and enforcing Major Food Group best practices and policies.
• Ensuring that guests enjoy and participate in the Major Food experience
• Manage Inventory
• Manage Employee Schedules
• Enforcing all standards of service

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 years or more of fine dining management experience preferred
• Strong food and beverage knowledge
• Outstanding Service Skills
• Know how to be serious and passionate about your work while having fun.
• Incredible Work Ethic
• Self Motivated
• Experience managing large scale restaurants a plus
• Knowledge of the New York restaurant industry a plus
