Major Food Group seeks an experienced and qualified Sous Chef to join our team at Chateau ZZ's!

Located in a historic manor on Brickell Avenue in Miami, Chateau ZZ's is Major Food Group's first-ever Mexican restaurant. This glamorous destination seamlessly blends old-world sophistication with modern luxury, offering a variety of transportive dining environments, a vast collection of rare tequilas, a stunning solarium, a vibrant bar and lounge, and picturesque gardens.

This fine-dining concept is hiring an experienced Sous Chef with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sourcing, ordering and receiving the highest quality ingredients
  • Developing, teaching, and maintaining all recipes and techniques
  • Executing menu items from start to finish
  • Organizing a large team and holding each chef accountable for their responsibilities
  • Overseeing and maintaining a smooth professional service
  • Maintaining all kitchen equipment and following up for any repairs needed
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Overseeing scheduling and inventory to work within a set budget

REQUIREMENT:

  • 3+ years progressive experience in BOH operations, fine dining or Michelin Rated restaurant experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of and competency performing BOH administrative duties, excellent organization skills and attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and demonstrates the ability to make quick and sound decisions
  • Proven ability in training and mentoring staff to continuously develop their skills and knowledge while providing leadership and direction
