ilili DC, located at The Wharf, is seeking an experienced Server to join the team!

As a Server at ilili, you will work as an integral part of the service team, dedicated to providing guests with the most impeccable, accurate, and courteous service possible. You will strive to consistently exceed guest expectations by paying close attention to guests’ needs at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests into the restaurant. Provide overview of the menu as needed and make recommendations when asked
• Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into the point-of-sale system. Effectively course out the order for a seamless guest experience
• Memorize full food and beverage menus inclusive of allergens, dietary restrictions, and course structure. Communicate allergens to kitchen team accurately
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
• Monitor guest experience throughout their entire stay. Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to any requests. Anticipate needs.
• Perform limited side work as needed; including but not limited to light dining room cleaning duties, folding napkins, preparing candles/flowers, etc.
• Prepare final bill: present check to guest, accept and process payment. Follow cash handling SOP as trained
• Train new servers (as needed) on delivering excellent service while maintaining standard shift responsibilities noted above; such training to occur on-the-job with new servers shadowing you as you perform your key responsibilities
• Assist fellow team members as needed to ensure seamless customer experience

As a member of our team you should have:

• 2-3 years fast-paced, fine-dining experience
• Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
• Basic knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling and safety procedures
• Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
• Excellent customer service skills and strong teamwork mentality
• A strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic
• Proven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitality
• Ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours at a time and be able to safety lift up to 30 lbs.
