POSITION SUMMARY
The HR & Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for supporting the hiring process from end to end including attracting and evaluating candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, and general administrative tasks. This role is key in creating an exemplary candidate experience and providing strong support to hiring efforts. This role also assists with HR tasks as needed.
**This position requires 100% onsite at our office at downtown Manhattan.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Posts open requisitions on ATS (Ceridian), as well as multiple job boards (Indeed, Culinary Agents, Harri, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date job descriptions on file and across job boards
- Monitors the ATS and job boards to ensure it has the most up-to-date information (close out jobs as it is filled, open jobs as needed)
- Source candidates by utilizing different databases and social media for current job openings or building future pipeline
- Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
- Conduct phone, video or in-person interviews
- Maintain consistent communication with departmental leaders on qualified candidates on the pipeline
- Attend recruitment events as scheduled, and ensure the events are prepared ahead of time with necessary items for smooth process (printed applications, printed interview evaluations, pens, etc.)
- Organize, file, and maintain all applications received neatly and ensure they are easily accessible
- Update all relevant tracker(s) with updated candidate’s statuses
- Monitor the Career email inbox and provide answers to questions asked related to benefits, hiring processes, etc. Escalate to the Talent Acquisition Manager(s) for more complex questions
- Initiate background check to applicable candidates as needed
- Assists with creation and distributions of offer letters from time to time
- Communicate with candidates during the pre onboarding process
- Communicate with hiring managers to provide progress updates regularly
- Provides overall clerical support to the Recruitment & HR team
- Maintain and track candidate pipelines using ATS and other trackers
- Complete any other task given with as required in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.
- Must be able to maintain a schedule availability flexible to the business demands.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Preferably 1+ years of related experience as a Recruitment coordinator or HR support in hospitality/food and beverage industry.
- Exceptional people skills, instinctual nature, and naturally high EQ
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills conducive to a productive teamwork environment.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly.
The base pay range for this position is $25 - $28 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
