Job Details
Seeking passionate bread bakers with a positive, team-oriented attitude for high-volume production of quality breads made with fresh milled whole grain flours. Starting wage $18/hr, more for experienced candidates. After an initial training period, bakers work 4x 10 hour shifts per week. Friday and Saturday shifts are required every week.
Our goal is to make delicious/nutritious bread widely accessible, while strengthening local food systems.
Learn to work with fresh milled flour and ferment, shape & bake naturally leavened & yeasted whole grain breads. Operate bakery equipment designed to produce high-quality artisan product at scale. Contribute to a team working together to build something meaningful; Since 2017, we have purchased and milled over 500,000 pounds of local grain. Food & Wine Magazine and The Food Network both named us one of the best bakeries in the country in 2020, when we also produced well over 100,000 loaves for COVID-19 related hunger relief packages.
Candidates must be:
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays - Friday and Saturdays required
- Able to lift 50+ lbs. frequently over the course of a shift, and 100+ lbs. occasionally
- Capable of working on your feet for 8-12 hours
- Legal to work in the United states
- Good people
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $25.00)
