SERVER
The Yokai mission is to provide San Francisco with a delicious upscale, dining experience serving a menu comprised of California and Japanese ingredients, wagyu and other meats in a beautifully designed and dynamic space. The beverage program focuses on an eclectic wine list, Japanese spirits, sake and cocktails made with care and craft.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opening and closing side work as directed by management
- Answering guest questions about food and beverage
- Curating and guiding the guest experience
- Delivering food to guests and identifying its various components
- Setting, clearing, remarking tables before, during and after service
- Maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
- Other duties as required or directed by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous service experience required
- Must understand the fundamentals of hospitality
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to take direction and also work independently
- Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must have good judgment, versatility, flexibility
- Motivated and good team player who takes initiative
- Must have a courteous, friendly and professional manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing/walking approximately 90% of shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks for up to 6 hours at a time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
REQUIRED HOURS:
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.67) plus tips
