**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Private Events to lead our private events department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong sales skills, and a proven track record of executing successful events. As the Director of Private Events, you will drive sales, cultivate relationships with clients, and ensure the flawless planning and execution of all private events.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive private events bookings and revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
- Manage the entire event planning process, from initial inquiry to execution, including contract negotiation, menu planning, and logistics.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create custom menus and ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events, including staffing, setup, and guest experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the planning process and during events, exceeding their expectations at every touchpoint.
- Maintain accurate records of all bookings, sales activities, and client communications.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, revenue projections, and other key metrics for management review.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in private events sales and management, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative event concepts and experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
