Job Details

Chef Daniel Boulud and The Dinex Group is seeking a well rounded Culinary Operations Manager to help develop and grow the catering sales for our Epicerie Boulud brand. This position will be responsible for the creation and development of the Epicerie Boulud catering program as well as meeting aggressive growth expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximizing corporate sales and events
  • Determining menus, setting pricing, honing service levels, and styling catering presentation
  • Working with the Director of Sales to cross promote across all Dinex Group brands
  • Defining and developing across our four applications: catering, wholesale, gift boxes and events
  • Working with our existing teams to ensure flawless operations
  • Establishing client relationships and ensuring satisfaction
  • Preparing financial reports and analysis (weekly, monthly and ad-hoc)
  • Working with our marketing and PR teams to drive sales

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a Catering and/or Sales Position based in Manhattan
  • Experience with Direct to Consumer (D2C) sales
  • Established contacts in the business community
  • Ability to interact with diverse and high-volume customer base in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Familiarity operating Web based ordering systems:  process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles
  • Excellent communication – written and verbal with all levels of professionals
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and problem solve for the best solutions
  • Exude passion for food and culinary trends, and convey this in discussion with high-profile clients
  • Tangible experience in the finance of food (inventory, payroll, budgets, cost-analysis etc.)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite as well as web-based applications such as Goldbelly & DineMarket

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)

The Épicerie emphasizes seasonal, house-made ingredients, from fresh bread and viennoiserie to charcuterie, soups, salads, made-to-order sandwiches, cheese boards, gelato and festive cakes. On the market shelves, you'll also find a selection of condiments, candies and other artisanal products inspired by Daniel and his chefs in their world travels.
