ABOUT THE CAFE MANAGER POSITION
We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-minded Cafe Manager to lead our growing team! The Cafe Manager will be responsible for daily operations, inventory management, service flow, and maintaining quality of product on a daily basis. We are a small but mighty shop and we pride ourselves on excellent food and drink - as well as the warmest hospitality around. At Broken Tart, we strive to provide a positive atmosphere for our employees. We work hard to provide work schedules and hours that support life beyond work and we value the importance of time for friends and family and personal happiness. 

This position offers a 4-day (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) work week.

• Team Leadership & Management: Assist with hiring, training and developing team members in both front of house and back of house. Maintain a positive, engaging workplace where team members feel valued and appreciated. 
• Service & Hospitality: Strive to provide the best service, hospitality, and experience for guests on a daily basis. We love a "surprise and delight" moment, knowing our regulars' orders, annd helping new guests discover all the wonderful things Broken Tart has to offer. Our hospitality spans beyond our guest interactions and flows into how we maintain our space and the experience guests have while enjoying our shop. 
• Operations Management: The Cafe Manager will oversee daily operations rotating between opening and closing shifts, managing product inventory, and space maintenance. The ability to multitask and manage many moving parts is a must! As we are constantly working towards operational improvements, we need someone who can see the big picture and help implement these changes moving forward.
• Inventory & Ordering: Conduct regular inventory of product and paper goods. Manage ordering, receiving and organization of all FOH goods. Assist with BOH inventory, ordering and organization as needed. Implement best practices for inventory process and maintenance.

• Genuine passion and excitement for food and beverage
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to delegate and manage projects from start to finish
• Minimum of 2 years previous retail, cafe and/or restaurant management experience required
• Reliable! Dependable! Ambitious! 
• Flexible availability including weekends and longer days leading up to holidays
• This is an active, energetic role; the ability to stand for longer periods of time, being physically present in our space and the ability to lift 50 lbs is a must
