Job Details
Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group is looking for a skilled and experienced sushi chef to join our culinary team. As a sushi chef, the individual would be responsible for creating high-quality sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other related dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation.  

Job Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and safely use all kitchen equipment
  • Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and any other specialty rolls according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly portioned, and prepared to the highest standards of quality and freshness. 
  • Handle and prepare raw fish and seafood with precision and care, adhering to strict food safety and sanintation guidelines. 
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and communicate with management to place orders as needed. 
  • Participate and assist in menu development and updates. 
  • Train and mentor other cooks and kitchen staff in techniques, knife skills and other related knowledge. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations in sushi preparation techniques, ingredients, cooking methods and presentation styles. 
  • Have strong and efficient communication skills both in verbal and written.
  • Document new recipes and protocol as needed.  
  • Ensure a high level of product quality and take action to correct irregularities
  • Handle other job related duties as needed. 


  • Must have at least 3 years of sushi chef experience in a high-volume, full service restaurant. 
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional Japanese sushi techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles. 
  • Proficiency in sushi knife skills and the ability to handle and prepare raw fish and seafood with precision and care. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation. 
  • Understanding of professional kitchen and food fabrication experience.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts and hours including nights, weekends and dining holidays.
  • Ability to take direction from superiors and work well in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written. 
  • Leadership skills and ability to train.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to walk/stand the entire shift
  • Lift up to 50lbs. or more as needed
  • Execute repetitive motion
  • Able to reach, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($17.00 - $21.00)
