Ethel’s Fancy is looking for a motivated CDP to join our team.  Ethel’s Fancy is a modern American restaurant in downtown Palo Alto, known for its fun, eclectic, and inventive menu of family style small plates.  We are ambitious in building a unique dining experience and bringing to our guests a fine dining experience in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.  We love providing great hospitality through food and drink and are looking for someone who shares that passion.  Our kitchen is a positive learning environment where individuals can learn not only good techniques, but also get exposure to unique and special ingredients.  We make bi-weekly trips to the farmer's market and change our menu quite frequently based on what we find.  We are keenly interested in working with people who want to collaborate and see the restaurant evolve.

Some qualifications we are looking for:
Someone who can work full time, Tuesdays-Saturday(1pm-closing). 

Has some English speaking ability.

Have worked at least a year in a busy kitchen environment

Takes direction well and can quickly repeat a task with speed and efficiency

Has a positive attitude and brings a respectful and kind demeanor to work.  We like to work with happy people.

Enjoys a challenge and wants to push to be a better chef.

Can lift at least 40lbs

Compensation will be dependent on qualifications, but is highly competitive.  We will pay more for the right candidate.  We also offer health coverage to all full time employees.
