We are seeking a Production Assistant to become an integral part of our XO Marshmallow team! You will assist our Production Staff with preparing and finishing tasks in our production kitchen. These typically include: cutting mix-ins for marshmallows, dipping treats in chocolate, piping marshmallow fluff, cutting trays of marshmallows, and doing dishes. This is a great opportunity for someone with interest in growing their confectionery skills and wants to work for an amazing women-led business!
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on cutting marshmallow trays using our cutting machine
- Work through pre-assigned list as directed by Production supervisor
- Ensure food safety maintained throughout the day, by cleaning, sweeping, doing dishes, and taking trash out
- Prep various mix-ins, including chopping nuts, crushing cookies, making sauces, etc
- Communicate with Production team to complete tasks as assigned, which may include cutting trays of marshmallows, piping pints of fluff, dipping treats in chocolate, etc
- Restock stations and complete inventory tasks as assigned
- Work with Production and Fulfillment team to package product as needed
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food, confection, or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload, lift 50lbs and stand for at least 6-8 hours at a time
- Ability to multitask and prioritize on a daily basis
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and demonstrated communication skills
The Role:
- Full-time and Part-time hours available, flexible schedule and hours
- Hourly rate starts at $16.00/hr+
