Job Details
Core functions:
Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality traditional espresso beverages for our guests.
Job duties but not limited to:
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers
- Prepare and serve coffee, cortado, americano, latte and cappuccino based on standard recipes
- Recommends coffee flavor profiles to customers
- Posses full knowledge in local roasters and tea offerings that we feature
- Participate in a culture of innovation by contributing ideas for house and seasonal coffee and tea beverages
- Learns the names and personally recognize our regular guests
- Takes ownership the coffee bar and maintains cleanliness in all areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- Taking care of our guests using our methods for delivering contagious hospitality

The perfect candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Must have exceptional grooming habits
- Comfortable working early morning hours a must
- One year of past Barista experience a plus
- Have working knowledge of traditional espresso beverages
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point of sales system
- Basic knowledge of 2-group espresso machine and commercial coffee maker
- Works quickly and efficiently
- Works well both independently and as a team member
- Responsible and reliable
- Must have exceptional grooming habits
- Outgoing friendly personality
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability and willingness to exceed guest expectations
- Excellent multi-tasking and attention to detail
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- Able to lift 50 lbs
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00) plus tips
