Job Overview

We are looking for warm and kind hearted people to join our operation! You are the first and last person a guest speaks to or sees during their visit, so you must be approachable, professional, and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver oustanding hospitality to everyone for a complete experience. 

A snapshot of duties include, but are not limited to, communicating to guests through email, telephone, and SMS; organizing floor plans and seating arrangements in Open Table, assisting the Events team with bookings, welcoming guests, seating them at tables, bar, and lounge; and helping to ensure the quality of the facility and service.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
  2. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
  3. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the LINE’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
  4. Provide guests with menus
  5. Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
  6. Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs
  7. Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
  8. Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and to respond to complaints
  9. Receive and record patrons' dining reservations
  10. Maintain contact with Kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed
  11. Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features
  12. Direct patrons to waiting areas such as lounges
  13. Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages as needed
  14. Prepare cash receipts after establishments close
  15. Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service
  16. Help train other Hosts
  17. Assist in planning functions or other special events and services
  18. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
  19. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
  20. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested

Knowledge, Requirements and Skills

  1. Experience in restaurants required
  2. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  4. Physical stamina, proper mental attitude and the ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts in a fast-paced environment
  5. Attention to detail and the required organizational and time management skills needed to work under pressure, ensure efficiency and meet deadlines
  6. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays       
  7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  8. Ability to multitask
  9. Excellent communication skills
  10. Able to handle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteous manner;
  11. Work well under pressure, requires being a team player

Working Conditions/Environment

  1. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  2. The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 30lbs on a daily basis
  3. The person having this position may have to sit for one (1) hour, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($25.00) plus tips
