JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Staff Accountant for One Off Hospitality Group
DEPARTMENT: Accounting
REPORTS TO: Director of Accounting
The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a wide variety of general accounting functionsincluding journal entries, month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations. This role
will report to the Director of Accounting and ensure all entries, reporting and analysis are completed
in the proper period in accordance with GAAP. This role will be responsible for forming positive
working relationships with external vendors and landlords to ensure a successful trusting foundation
of payment and reporting. The Staff Accountant is responsible for working with the operations team
members to ensure accurate reporting and defined internal controls as defined by One Off
Hospitality. This position supports the accounting (AP & AR), finance and reporting functions for
management, auditors, and external users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Address questions from restaurant management on a timely basis.
Identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
Eagerly support the team to achieve timely publishing of P&Ls
Provide supporting documentation for annual audits.
Identify and present opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Maintains records according to generally accepted accounting principles, including recording
general journal entries, cash management, and reconciliation of bank statements.
Applies strong accounting skills, including A/P, A/R, purchasing backup, journal entries, and
all accounting through financial statement preparation.
Participates in activities needed to support operations and the management functions of the
team.
Review and balance: all house and third party accounts, employee tips, service fees,
corporate card expenses, misc accruals
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
Inventory posting and review
Recording intercompany transfers
Credit card reconciliations – Toast/Bank/R365, monitor dispute chargebacks
Bank Reconciliations / Bank Activity
Third-Party Sales Tax Reconciliation
Catering/Events Activity Audit – Commissions
Calculating and Filing Sales Tax
Continually creating and updating SOPs to support our teams and streamline/unify our
processes
Perform special projects or administrative tasks, as required, to assist the department and
the company in achieving its goals and objectives
Audit catering & private event commissions
Monitor operational accounting areas for unusual activity such as fraud or errors and assist
with newly implemented audits
Process daily accounting requests from restaurant managers and office managers
Support the restaurants, operations, and other personnel with accounting operations issues
Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Two plus years of accounting experience.
Previous experience with R365 is highly recommended.
Strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
Accuracy and attention to detail are absolutely required, as well as a track record of
reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits.
Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
Attention to detail with an exceptional level of accuracy.
Ability to interpret data and make cost-effective decisions.
Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline
pressures.
Demonstrated ability to deal directly with clients.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($62,000.00 - $70,000.00)
