The Gig: Toasted Hospitality is looking for a Kitchen Manager for Little Toasted (Littletoasted.com)

The Place: Little Toasted is a 120-seat Modern American Tavern and Cafe located along the Chicago River in the west loop. Little Toasted features one of the largest patios in Chicago and has a very strong events and private dining business. Little Toasted is also only open Monday-Friday and closed on most major holidays. 

The Team: With 50+ years of experience across a combined 130+ restaurant openings, Toasted Hospitality focuses on concept and team development across a wide variety of restaurant styles and cuisines. The Little Toasted team specifically has an operations and kitchen crew, that have been in place for over 5 years. 

The Specifics: The Kitchen Manager position at Little Toasted operates in a similar role to a Sous Chef position in a fine dining restaurant. Initial Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Day-to-day kitchen operations and maintaining a high level of food quality and team morale.
- Working as the Lead during Lunch and Happy Hour Service, generally from the expo position.
- Working hand and hand with the GM and Corporate Chef to communicate orders to vendors and prep lists to BOH staff.
- Working with GM and BOH Team to maintain proper food costing. 
- Working with our events department to make sure BEOs and BEO prep lists are planned out and communicated for the week to FOH and BOH and executed and presented in a level up to the Little Toasted Standards.
- Writing and Communicating BOH Schedules.
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English is highly preferred. 

Future Responsibilities and Opportunities 
- Working with the Corporate Chef and GM on new menu items creation, daily specials, new event menu ideas. 
- Room for growth at both at Little Toasted or Future Kitchen Lead opportunities with multiple openings planned over the next year. 

The Compensation:
Salaried and based on experience. 
Monday-Friday Predictable scheduling
Health Insurance (50%), 401k, Vacation
50% all Toasted Hospitality Restaurants

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($47,500.00 - $57,500.00)
