Sereneco is an all-day restaurant in a light-filled, welcoming space based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.  Our nourishing, vegetable-forward, seasonal-inspired menu are designed to make Sereneco the go-to neighborhood restaurant Greenpoint for locals and a destination for those visiting Greenpoint. 

Description:

Working under the Chef's supervsion, cooks prepare and/or direct the preparation of served food while complying with sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards.  We are looking for a cook with experience cooking proteins on the grill and sautee stations.   Cooks must adhere to established food production programs and procedures.  There is a great opportunity to learn and grow under an experienced a talented chef.

Responsibilities

- Following and complying with recipes and instructions in accordance with the restaurant’s standard, and Depart of Health regulations
- Storing food properly and safely with appropriate labels
- Performing duties as required or assigned by  Chef
- Tasting all of the mise en place!
- Working under pressure and calmly following directions

Qualifications

- 2 years of kitchen experience in a similar role
- Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred
- Advanced knife skills
- Stronh communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team!
- English language skills required.
