Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for someone to join our team as a Line Cook at our Fermentaria in Ardmore! This is a full time position Wednesday-Sunday from 2p-10p. The line cook is responsible for the entirety of the cooking process from prep to presentation in accordance with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, as well as any other duties assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other food items for cooking ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Must be able to communicate clearly with other members of the team, including but not limited to kitchen and dining staff
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Understands Tired Hands standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station areas
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
- Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking preferred
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pound
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
