Since 1993 Metropolitan Bakery has been tempting Philadelphians with freshly baked and hand-crafted bread, pastries, snacks, and their famous granola made from locally sourced ingredients.
Metropolitan Bakery is seeking a Mixer – Oven Baker to join our bread department. This is a fulltime position at our Production Facility located in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.
Shift 2:30am to 10:30am, 5 shifts per week, must be available weekends.
The ideal applicant would have
- Knowledge of Bread Mixing/ Fermentation process.
- 1 year of Bread Baking, Oven Operation.
- Experience with sourdough bread process including levains and polish.
- Ability to fulfill production required to complete retail and wholesale needs.
- Ability to plan and organize production.
- Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
- Must be able to lift 50# and physically be able to perform tasks

Starting compensation 19.00+ determined by experience.
