About us!
Yanaga Kappo-Izakaya is a Japanese Chef driven restaurant by the "Sushi Whisper" Kevin Yanaga. Located in the Northern Liberties area of Philadelphia, with anticipated open within the next month.
Our first phase of opening will come from the "Kappo-Izakaya" portion of the restaurant. A full service dining and bar area serving takes of Japanese comfort food. Taking over the previous restaurant space "The Abbaye" - we will be showcasing our style while leaning towards the concept of a Japanese dive bar.
We are looking at bringing together a small team of like minded individuals. Being Chef driven, we believe and strive for a positive work environment and a real work/life balance. Our passion for the cuisine, guest experience, and overall hospitality are the driving factors for what we believe will make this restaurant stand out. Highlighting on Local Beer, Craft Cocktails, Sake & Shochu for a complimentary pairing with our Food Menu.
