CAFÉ LLAMA – SERVER\BARTENDER
The Llama Company has opened a new establishment on the 66th floor within the new Spiral building in Hudson Yards called CAFÉ LLAMA! Bringing the Spiral business members an exclusive clubhouse space for a second year, Café Llama is the ultimate stop for all your go-to’s with some Peruvian flare.
We are looking for a Café Server and Bartender who is responsible for beverage service of all tables and seating areas of the bar and lounges. They will also have responsibility for providing service to the many private events we host. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, multi-task and have strong attention to detail. They will ideally work 4-5 shifts per week, including 1-2 barteding shifts.
Please note that the operating hours for this venue are Monday-Friday, 8am - 8pm.
Requirements include attention to detail, organization, strong food/wine/beverage knowledge, a professional demeanor, discretion, and the ability to work as a team player.
Ideal Candidates should have the following:
- 2 or more years of New York restaurant experience, private club or its equivalent
- Desire and dedication to offer premier fine dining experience
- Strong coffee, wine and beverage knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead guests in their dining experience with genuine hospitality
- Ability to guide guests in the right direction, making calculated suggestions to drive experience and sales
- Develop full knowledge of all aspects of our Peruvian/American menu
- Always maintain a professional demeanor, be gracious, kind to teammates and guest alike.
- Understand POS (Toast) system deeply, and efficiently use systems (preferably toast)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Great coffee, wine, and spirit knowledge.
- Pisco knowledge is a big plus
- Hard working, self-motivated team player
- Willingness to learn, participate in trainings, and expand knowledge in all things food/beverage
- Support daily batches & prep as needed
- Interact with the team effectively and express genuine hospitality with guests
- Learn menu and beverage descriptions and allergies
- Support floor staff with spirit recommendations for guests
- Must have availability Monday and Friday.
Additional requirements:
- Must be able to lift/move up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
Compensation Details:
- Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
