Sous Chef - Independent South Bay Group
Small Southbay restaurant group is bringing on board a talented Sous Chef! Ideal individuals will come from a mix of independent chef-driven and larger restaurant group backgrounds. Looking for individuals with collaborative personalities that enjoy being on a team with longstanding staff. Very low turnover with a focus on mentorship and growing leaders from within.
Jr. Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef, CDC)
- Proper ordering and inventory
- Foster a healthy kitchen culture
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Jr. Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in leadership roles such as Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Head Chef or Chef de Cuisine
- Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Benefits Include:
- Base salary in the $75-$85k range
