The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Anticipate the needs of the restaurant and act upon them while creating a positive and fun working environment
- Maintains quality and consistency of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
- Manage all front of house staff and guests with a focus on logistics and productivity
- Assist in the creation, development, and execution of sales opportunities, staff incentives, and engaging experiences for guests
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed and the restaurant is left in a ready-to-open condition
- Interviewing/recruiting new employees
- Assisting with orientations and adhering to company training procedures
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements
- Other projects and tasks may be delegated as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 3-5 years of food and beverage service industry experience required.
- The ability to maintain California Food Handlers and ABC certification
- An understanding of technology and care about accuracy- Aloha, Paylocity, CTUIT, Excel, and Word
- Strong knowledge of FOH house operations
- Thoughtful, intelligent, and articulate, with the ability to learn new things and take direction while leading the team by example
- Ability to lead, train, and inspire
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively within a sometimes-pressurized environment.
