Organization:

Echo Lake Country Club, located in Westfield, New Jersey, just thirty miles from New York City, is an esteemed 18-hole member-owned club with a rich history dating back to 1899. The Club's golf course was designed by Donald Ross in 1913. Echo Lake Country Club was formed through the merger of the Cranford Golf Club and the Westfield Golf Club, and it boasts a family-oriented atmosphere, championship golf course, pool, and paddle program. A recent $12-million renovation has transformed the 30,000 square-foot Clubhouse into a vibrant hub, offering three bars, banquet facilities, multi-level dining, expansive patios, and breathtaking Manhattan Skyline views. In 2021, Echo Lake's Clubhouse was honored with the "Clubhouse Renovation of the Year" award from Club Inc. Magazine. The Club maintains a substantial waitlist for membership and boasts a long-term employment history.

The purpose of the Server role is to provide the membership and their guests with an exceptional dining experience. Servers will be responsible for providing top-tier service during a la carte service and events.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome Members and their guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Use proper serving techniques in accordance with Echo Lake’s standards.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of the Club’s menus, including all seasonal and weekly specials.
• Skillfully upsell menu items and suggest wine pairings to enhance the dining experience.
• Pay attention to details such as table settings, linens, and overall state of the dining rooms.
• Proactively address Member concerns and ensure a prompt resolution.
• Strive to exceed member expectations and contribute to a positive club experience.
• Maintain a polished appearance and adhere to Echo Lake’s dress code standards.

Daily Tasks:

• Set up and prepare dining areas for meals and events.
• Be prepared and ready to work at your scheduled in-time.
• Accurately take and enter F&B orders into POS.
• Serves all food and beverage orders, clears, and reset tables.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure accurate and timely service.
• Effectively communicate member requests or feedback to management.
• Effectively communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Be flexible and adaptable to handle different tasks when assigned.

Long-Term Objectives

• Develop customer relationship management to personalize Member interactions.
• Undergo regular training to ensure standards and expectations are up to date.

Reporting Structure and Interactions:

• Servers will report directly to the Captains.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2 years industry experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 20lbs

• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
