Title of Position: Sous Chef
Job Description: The Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing and training staff, creating menus that showcase both traditional Mediterranean cuisine and new innovative dishes while keeping cost effective. The Sous Chef will also manage vendors and ensure the quality of ingredients received. Additionally, The Sous Chef will need to maintain a clean work environment and comply with health codes. This position will include supporting the Executive Chef with menu tastings, managing the team's daily performance and leading by example. The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications:
- The Sous Chef must have experience with Mediterranean cuisine, and any prior experience in this area is considered a plus.
- Comfort with managing staff by delegating tasks to ensure a smooth-running kitchen is required for the Sous Chef
- The Sous Chef must have proven experience in a high volume that comes with a new restaurant opening
- Advanced culinary education and/or certifications preferred for the Executive Sous Chef
- The Sous Chef must be a hands-on leader
