We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented event captain/maître d' to mange the flow and lead the execution of weddings, corporate, and social events. The event captain oversees the service team and works directly with clients and vendors to create an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors during events.
• Execute precise timelines with attention to detail.
• Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude in all situations.
• Supervise and train the service team to high standards.
• Respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
• Maintain constant contact with the event chef on flow of service.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that the facility is clean, safe and presentable at all times.
• May need to perform other tasks within the facility as needed.
• Adheres to rigorous sanitation & safety procedures

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent leadership abilities and the ability to manage many team members.
• Great time management and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• The ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service, even in stressful situations.
• Physically fit with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods of time.
• Willingness to work long hours - evenings & weekends
• Event captain/maître d' experience preferred, but not required.
• ServSafe Food & Alcohol Certifications
