Join the team at SHOP in Williamsburg!
With the warmer weather approaching we are looking to grow the team with an excited, motivated, and experienced Cafe Cook (Breakfast/Lunch) to help deliver our Australian Cafe concept to the neighborhood. We are a small team and we share a lot of the tasks to run the cafe, so you'll learn to do a bit of evertything!
The position will require current availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays (there might be some flexibility in this, open to a discussion). As we get busier in the spring time (April-May), a 5th day option for working Sundays may also become avaialble.
Our current hours are from 8am - 4pm everyday. (Shifts are a mix of full days & split days ~ 30 hours to start).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day culinary operations
- Receiveing deliveries and putting away food stock
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Follow recipes and plate presentations
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
- Passion for food and cooking techniques
- Strong team qualities and ability to work fast and efficient when working alone under pressure
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $21.00)
