About Lazy Bird: Lazy Bird is for those who adore music and appreciate a classically-crafted cocktail. This intimate hideout features local and visiting live musicians every Wednesday-Saturday. Like many bars in Fulton Market, Lazy Bird excels in the art of creating beverages. Unlike many bars in Fulton Market, Lazy Bird boasts 52 signature cocktails. The unparalleled service of a Boka Restaurant Group concept and unbeatable ambiance makes this space the ultimate, mysterious late-night lounge.
Schedule: 9am - 3pm or 10am - 4pm, 5 shifts a week.
Garnish Prep Specialist's Responsibilities:
The Garnish Prep Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all garnishes are prepared efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards of quality. This role is essential in enhancing the presentation and flavor of our beverages, contributing to an exceptional customer experience.
- Prepare garnishes such as citrus twists, fruit wedges, herbs, and other embellishments according to standardized recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of garnishes and adherence to food safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of garnish ingredients and communicate with management regarding restocking needs.
- Collaborate with bartenders and other team members to ensure timely and accurate preparation of garnishes for drink orders.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to uphold sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination.
- Participate in training sessions to continually improve garnish preparation techniques and knowledge of cocktail recipes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices and willingness to adhere to sanitation guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
- Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environment
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with exposure to sharp objects
