WHO YOU ARE:
Under the direction of the Quince General Manager. Perform assigned responsibilities necessary for the timely service of our guests by directing the guest services/reservations and front door staff, advance the education, training and performance of FOH staff, and contribute to the profitable function of Quince.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Manage FOH staff following Quince’s high service standards and ensure utmost guest satisfaction.
Manage the flow of service through communication with fellow managers, the door, kitchen and staff. Continually offering new ideas for the service of guests, reservations department and staff education.
Management opening & closing responsibilities
- Perform all opening, closing and security responsibilities as outlined in the Quince Managerial opening and closing checklist. Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests & company assets.
FINANCIAL
- Manage inventories- CGS
- Gift card processing
- Manage House accounts and accurate guest check close
- Daily audit of good will procedures and comping
GUEST RELATIONS
- Reservations Department oversight
- Holiday and special event oversight- deadlines, menus, messaging
- Evaluate and implement best practices regarding Door and Phone operations i.e. Scripts for calls, pre-pays, gift certificates, valet procedures, coat check
- Develop & cultivate relationships with regular guests & new guests
SERVICE STANDARDS & PROTOCOLS
- Direct the flow of service in the dining room
- Direct any pre-service changes – update menus, document daily line up documents.
- Direct and approve menu production
- Staff role call- Oversee and direct all staff in preserve preparations and side work
- Prepare all line up documents
- Organize and lead line up
- Assist in running the door & managing reservations in order to maximize seating capacity in dining room
- Assist the FOH staff in service
- Identify important tables,reviewers, potential problematic situations
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Oversee development and training of all FOH staff
- Develop and implement training program for all FOH positions
HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION
- New employee orientation
- Develop and revise job descriptions as needed along with GM
- Continuing employee evaluations and training along with GM
- Department implementation of all company policies & procedures as outlined in the Quince & Co. Employee Handbook
- Completion of any termination documents or requests for final paychecks including a letter of resignation
- Provide ongoing support to employees by providing feedback, establishing performance expectations & conducting performance reviews
