Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team at [Location Name].   • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Opening fall of 2017, Checker Hall is a restaurant / bar concept adjacent to and sharing common spaces with the Lodge Room music venue in a historic 1922 constructed Masonic Temple. The Lodge Room is poised to become the iconic live entertainment venue of Northeast Los Angeles hosting an eclectic mix of live music, performances and events. We are seeking a chef interested in joining our vision in launching Checker Hall and establishing it as a neighborhood institution.

It is our mission to deliver delicious food in a lively atmosphere supported by friendly and knowledgeable staff, insistent on exceeding a guest’s expectations. We want to play music that gets people dancing, serve food that makes them sing, and pour drinks that stir conversation. All of this happens in the context of friendly, hospitable service that is down to earth and full of life.
