Happy Monkey has partnered with Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten to create a freestanding independent restaurant and is seeking a Restaurant Manager.

About the Role:

Job Description/Position Title: Floor Manager Reports to General Manager

Salary: $65,000-$75,000/yr and benefits

MUST HAVE FINE-DINING RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

The perfect Floor Manager candidate will possess hands-on fine dining service skills, attention to detail, commitment to hospitality, a positive team-player attitude, and the proven ability to be a leader.
FULL AVAILABILITY- daytime hours, evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Attends and contributes to the weekly/monthly departmental meetings.
  • Oversees and assists in service in accordance with the requirements and practices of the restaurant.
  • Responsible for taking the lead in growing sales in the restaurant.
  • Maintains awareness of customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Work the floor during service.
  • Train staff on quality level of service regarding body language, eye contact and proper verbiage and seek to positively enhance the guest experience throughout service.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all wine, spirits, coffees, teas, etc.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly inventories.
  • Open & close the restaurant as needed.
  • Work holidays as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/ Experience & Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of food and beverage
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and restaurant systems/platforms
  • Must be friendly, engaging, gracious, and have the ability to focus and connect with all guests at all levels, as well as with employees, and exceed their expectations.

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is $65,000- $75,000 per annum. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
