Montague Diner is a classic American diner coming to Brooklyn Heights early March 2024. We are currently hiring line cooks to join our opening team!
Our menu will feature a variety of classics; think pancakes, a burger, steak frites. Coffee will be poured in abundance. A slice of pie and a milkshake should be the finishing touch to every meal at Montague.
Service will run daily from 6am to 11pm. Open availability is a must. Applicants must be highly passionate individuals with a willingness to collaborate on building exceptional guest experiences. Most importantly, we are looking for individuals that show genuine kindness, respect, and joy in every aspect of their work.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the dishes on the menu with ease
- Maintain quality and standards of the kitchen
- Ability to work all the stations
- Ability to multitask, reduce wastage and check quality of produce to reduce additional costs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards in compliance with DOH standards
- 1+ years as a line cook in an upscale restaurant
- Knife skills, plating skills and attention to detail
- New York City Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Lift and carry 30+ pounds
- Ability to work long hours while standing up 10+ hours
