You will be responsible for the complete set up, including all mise en place, of your station. This is a position that will grow you as a chef and teach you how to succeed and excel in this career path.

Job Requirements include:

  • Must have your own SHARP knives
  • Train and teach the line cooks on your station
  • Demonstrate an ability to efficiently execute all prep assignments and execute service with excellence.
  • Consistently ensure that station remains clean and organized.
  • Communicates effectively with the kitchen team and embodies an environment of team work.
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to refine techniques and a desire to continually learn and grow.
  • Follow a daily prep list

 

  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Being detail oriented and organized
  • Working cleanly, efficiently and quickly.
  • Reporting equipment repair and maintenance to chefs immediately
  • Report when food items are running low

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants should have at least 3 years of kitchen experience in a high pace environment, but we are willing to train the right person
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and punctual
  • Great attitude, respectful and a team player
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must have a sense of urgency

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary/Hourly (Based on Experience)

Komodo Dallas is the second branch of Komodo, Groot Hospitality’s renowned Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant in Miami. Similar to its sister location, Komodo Dallas is both a dining and nightlife destination, offering guests a full service restaurant along with an intimate lounge.

Located in the Epic Development, Komodo Dallas features an ultra-contemporary exterior facade that gives way to an inviting indoor-outdoor flow. The restaurant takes visual cues from its homebase, including Komodo’s signature illuminated “bamboo” cutout columns and duck display windows. From there, pops of saturated color are added, such as with the lounge’s eye-catching wallpaper and a dramatic fabric-draped corridor. Komodo Dallas spans two stories and seats up to 274 diners across tabletop, booth and bar seats.

Komodo Dallas’ dedicated lounge area features a highly graphic, high energy room that regularly hosts the country’s best DJ’s while providing Groot Hospitality’s signature VIP service. Come for dinner, stay for the party.

As in Miami, Komodo Dallas’ menu offers delicious takes on Southeast Asian dishes, all of which have been developed and interpreted with a global approach. The result is a unique dining experience, ranging from regularly rotating specials to house favorites such as Salmon Tacos, Lemon Pepper Texas Quail, Peking Duck, and Daring Plant Based Kung Pao Chicken. A full sushi bar is also included, while bespoke custom cocktails deliver lively and exclusive beverage options.

Komodo Dallas, like all Groot Hospitality restaurants, delivers a singular blend of excellent food, innovative drinks and one-of-a-kind experiences. Here, that immersion feels extra energetic and finely calibrated between Miami’s tropical allure and Dallas’ urbane-Texan verve.

Komodo is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Komodo Lounge is open Friday & Saturday.
