Oyster Oyster is a restaurant dedicated to sustainability, serving a thoughtful, plant-focused, multi-course menu showcasing local and seasonal ingredients from the Mid-Atlantic. Our team is driven by a commitment to providing genuine hospitality.
We are looking for an experienced sous chef or a lead cook/tournant ready to take the next step.
Although our mission as a restaurant is very serious, we like to have fun, so laughter and positive vibes are encouraged.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Oversee food production, assist the culinary team, and provide service.
- Collaborate with the chef on menu development.
- Stay on task by being a good role model and leading by example.
- Organization and keeping the workplace clean are a must.
- Holding yourself and others accountable in a productive and progressive manner
- Be critical but supportive of others’ work. At the end of the day, we all own the dishes on the menu.
- Ensure that company procedures and quality standards are met.
- Assist with managing cost control.
- Maintaining admin materials (prep list, order guides, logs)
- Leadership and coaching
- Cooking and/or assisting with service
