**About the Job**

As a Sous Chef at Vermilion, you will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for exceptional culinary experiences, characterized by our use of multiple farm vendors and hyper-seasonal local produce. Your role will involve:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu development, inventory, and staff supervision.
  • Ensuring the highest quality of dishes before they reach our guests, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
  • Managing and training kitchen staff to meet our high standards and to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborating with local farmers and vendors to source the best seasonal produce, maintaining Vermilion’s commitment to sustainability and community support.
  • Overseeing the kitchen's daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with health regulations.

**About You**

The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef position at Vermilion will possess:

  • Proven experience in a sous chef or similar leadership role within a high-caliber kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards excellence.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent experience, with a deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • A positive attitude, with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences through food.

Compensation Details
